Will I ever

Will I ever get to actually spend the day stitching? Naw...I doubt it. I have got to clean this house today! It is such a mess. Anyone want to come over and help? Ive been working on cleaning everyone's room out one by one. Maybe when school starts in a few weeks I can get it all done. Yea Right! A girl can dream huh?
Ive been stitching on " A Happy Home Sampler" I really would like to get it finished soon. It is at that annoying point. Im itching to start " Home of a Needle Worker " by LHN. I have both editions thanks to some wonderful friends on 123. I posted my "wish" on the wish board and ta da! I recieved them both. I didnt even know there were 2 different ones but now I can stitch each and hang them together. They are kitted up. I just really want to finish the other first.
I did squeeze a bookmark in this past week. It is for an exchange. Im putting the back on and mailing her out this weekend. Very cute! Ill have to get a pic and try to post it when my partner recieves it.
Im off to cook some breakfast and start some laundry...ohhh the life of a housewife.

Lord, what a day so far! I got up, cooked some breakfast, and now have to go over to Mom's trailor and help her paint. I HAVE to get this stuff gone thru if there is any hope of having a yard sale next week. I only have about 3/4 of Autumn's room gone thru. That is it! What a time for Mom to move and my brother to get his new home . O well...it'll happen, I just might have to push it off another week or so. I applied for a job today. I'm wanting to go back to the grocery store and be a cake decorator. I miss it. We will see what happens. School starts August 1st. I've got to squeeze a weekend away in there somewhere. Devin could care less but Autumn has her heart set on doing something even if it is just camping. Our vacation to the beach is canceled. We just don't have the funds at the moment. Shawn's work is down again. I hope he can get some more jobs in this week. The bills are piling up again and I don't like it when that happens. Seems just when we get ahead, we fall 2 steps back. Life I guess.
I have been stitching on my "Happy Home Sampler." I really need to get a picture of it posted to this site! Maybe later , after painting, I can figure it out.

Hmmm I wonder

Maybe when I have more time I can figure it out.
I have been doing laundry today and I took my friend Sherry some stitching things that I didn't feel like I would use. Im now watching Dr. Phil, stitching, and relaxing before I have to go off to work. I got on the scale a minute ago and discovered that I have lost 6 pounds! I know that doesn't seem like a lot but I was stuck since my hysterectomy and had not lost any more. I havent even been really dieting. If only I could bring myself to drink diet coke instead of regular. The last time I drank diet was after Gran died. I drank nothing but diet for about 3 months or so and lost 20 lbs! I guess I need to go back to diet dew or diet pepsi. Those are the only diet drinks that I like. Sigh...
I've been cleaning out my room and I'm going to clean out the kids tomorrow. We are going to have a yard sale in a few weeks and that money will go towards our vacation. I think I'll ut my stitching stuff online though...not many people here stitch so hopefully I can get some money that way. Pray that we do well. The money will be our spending money.
Well...I best go check the laundry so I can get ready for work. If I didn't spend so much time online maybe I could get more stitching done! LOL

New Wip

I have a new WIP. It's called A Happy Home Sampler. It's in the July issue of "Cross Stitch and Needle Work." So far it has been a quick and easy stitch. I picked the magazine up at Hasting's last week when I took Devin by there to get a CD.

Today I went to Wal Mart and guess what I got? Yep! Batteries! I know, I know! I've been promising for a while now but just remembered them today! So there is a picture here of my WIP. I hope to post an update each week. Let's see how long this takes me to complete!

Autumn has become a captain of the jam skating team. She loves to skate. She is very good at it. Devin can skate too when he goes. I think he is more into "his girlfriend" then he is skating or anything else rght now. I guess he is at that age.

Shawn has been working ALOT and is taking tomorrow to fish with his cousin. It will be good for him to go do that. He hasn't went in a while. Im gong to stay home and stitch /clean house! YUCK! It seems like I just did that the other day! HMMM!

As I promised, here is the picture of my WIP. Hope you enjoy watching my progress.

Oh How I Miss HER

I miss HER so much. I didn't really realise just how much I did miss HER until last night when Shawn and I were laying in bed chatting. ( We do that alot just so we aren't interupted and we can talk about inportant things that we don't feel the kids need to hear.) He patted my hand which I had lieing on his chest. I bursted out into tears and he was beside himself trying to figure out what was wrong with me? Well, when he patted me I had this overwhelming sadness because my Gran used to do that when I would lay my hand on HER forehead or on HER wrist to take her pulse. SHE would pat me. (K^%d7f5 d <------) Kitty wrote that! (and these M's---)

Ok...so I think we all know that I miss my Gran. Pink was her favorite color so Im writing this post in pink.

I have been stitching lately on My Grandmother's House. The house is almost complete. It is very pretty so far. I really must charge my batteries so I can get some pictures posted!
Tomorrow, I have to work with Shawn and then with Janice at the cleaning company...WOW! I will be beat! I have to do that all next week too because the other girl is going on vacation..SIGH...When's my vacation?

O well...life goes on..

In Memory of those I have lost

I have been working this week with Shawn. He burys cable for the local cable company. It is hot, hard work but good money. We decided that I would work with him so we could keep all the money in our family instead of him hiring someone. Maybe tomorrow I can get some pics of us at work. Im getting sun burnt. I had applied sunscreen like a mad person but Im still frying. I so dread the really hot weather. My skin will be like leather. I now understand why my Paw wore long sleeve shirts when he worked the garden. Of course they were thin and worn out but they protected him from the sun. I think maybe I should find me a few to wear as well. We have been working 6 days a week from 9 am til dark..uaually around 8 or 9 pm. We come in, eat a quick bite, grab a shower and hit the bed. Today is the day of rest...I have cooked brunch and cleaned up all the dishes along with starting some laundry BUT my washer is messed up and not washing so Im going to have to go to my Mom's to get that done..least its right up the road!

Happy Birthday Audy!

Today is the day! Autumn, my daughter, turns 11! Wow! She is a young lady now..not my little baby girl anymore. ( WAAAAAAAAAAAA) Yes I am sad, sure I am worried, but I know she has to grow up..I just wish she would slow down a bit. She now has a boyfriend. WHAT? They talk on the phone and at school but that is about it. ( For now and a LOOOOOOOONG time I hope) We are having her a "camping" birthday party this weekend. (Watch for upcoming pictures). I think I am more excited about it then she is. Shawn asked why we went all out for our kids birthdays? Well, I want them to remember them..all of them, not just the sweet 16th! Speaking of "sweet 16", Devin is next! His birthdays is in October. He is now driving with a permit! Warning: If you live in East Tennessee, and you see a purple jeep coming your way, pull to the side! He likes to "clean out the ditches!" LOL.

I have been stitching. I am working on "At Gandmother's House".(Pictures coming soon). I think I am going to change the saying to "At Grandparents House" After all, it was both my Grandmother's and Grandfather's home. It is a chart of a 2 story house with lots of trees around it. My home used to be a 2 story until it burnt to the ground in 1990. I think back to that old farm house today. I am grateful for what I have though. We may not always be fortunate enough to have cable, internet, or someday even electricity but we will always have a roof over our head. That is more than some people can say. I am very thankful and grateful. I have been posting some on the 123 message board. Not very often though. I find that I am more of a lurker now. I also post on the Stitcher's Haven 2. I check it daily and feel very fortunate to be a part of the "crew." (Thanks Shannon for letting me

in!)

I would also like that thank Natasha for the great surprise package she sent me! Thanks Natasha!

Its been a long time coming

I am back! It has been a long time coming. I haven't stitched much in a long time but am now stitching again. Yea me. I am currently working on Picasso's Rooster and At My Grandmother's House. I'm sure you can guess where the rooster will be going. Yep in my kitchen! I MIGHT do one for my SIL Karen for Christmas. SHHHHH...Dont tell her!
Grandmother's House will hang in my dining room close to my memory wall. I will post pics later of both.

On a non stitching note, I have went back to work. I started at the first of April. Im working with my husband's Aunt and Uncle cleaning offices at night. They own their own company. I really like it and it has its bonuses. I CAN NOT stand for my house to be dirty now. I feel like I am working for nothing if my house gets messy. LOL.
Of course, there is the disadvantages as well. The kids and Shawn are eating junk for dinner and Im losing stitching time! But at least Im making stash money! :)

Speaking of work, I must go now...I have to get a little sleep. Its a LOOOOONG night tonight with 6 buildings to clean.

Not stitching much

I really wanted to work on the BAP I have started..I wanted to do something on it every day even if it was just a few stitches..well...here we are..its been 4 days and I have done NOTHING! I will go stitch on it in a bit. I was working with 1 color and lost the skien! I think my couch ate it. Im thinking of cleaning up my "sewing" room today. Its cold in there since we are out of propane. BRRRR but I have an electic heater I can use so that might work. I really need to get it done. Ill try to post a WIP of my latest.

New Year...New Blog

This will be my new stitching blog. I had one started and will post the link at a later time. I decided to just use this one for the new year. All things new right? LOL
Hopefully, I will succeed in completing a lot more projects this year. I have already started my very first BAP. I'm stitching a design by HAED designs called "Long Winters Nap". I'm doing it as a SAL with some friends from Stitcher's Haven. It is fun to stitch so far. We will see how I feel about it after I complete page 1. I started it on Jan 1. I have worked on it every day even if it is just a little row. I'm wanting to see how long it will take me to complete it.
I will update tomorrow with pics of my progress.
